epiphany

This morning, riding on the third of my three morning buses, the one where my journey embarrassingly meets that of my students, I had an epiphany.

For a moment, I saw myself from above:

A quiet, odd lady in an excessively big winter coat, knitting, with her hot water bottle unashamedly visible on her lap.

And then it hit me.

I am finally beyond caring what other people think.

How liberating.

Man I am jealous. I wish I was there! (p.s. maybe you can give us some hints in blog land how to not care what others thing!)

Take care

It is great to get to that point. I'm not there yet, but today when I shuffled into the lab for a bloodtest after 9 days of bed rest I did remember to fluff up the back of my head which my husband fondly said made me look like a hospital patient. hehe

I swear that is the best epiphany in the world - it is so very liberating.

Very liberating. "No Shame" is a line my friends and I use when we do something stupid and just don't give a sh*t.
